
Background
Thailand, formerly known as Siam until 1939, is the only Southeast Asia country that has never been colonized by a European country. It was found in the 1238 and it was ruled by different kingdoms over the years. The country has been a kingdom ruled by the House of Chakri since 1782. It is the longest reigning monarch in the Thailand history with nine kings ruling the country till now. Thailand is the world's 50th largest country and the 20th most populous country with approximately 66 million people. 75% of the population in Thailand are the Thais, and the others are mostly chinese, small percentage of malays and the rest are minority groups of various hill tribes. Thai would be the official language for the country and its primary religion for the people would be buddhism. Thailand, the only country in Southeast Asia that has not been colonized by any of the European countries, however is influenced by the western due to globalization. Changes in the country and improvement in economic of the country were significant.
