Disneyization in Thailand

Disneyization has definitely happened in Thailand. Globalisation makes the world seems smaller. Countries around the world are more globalised and trends are spreading around the world faster than ever. More countries are more westernised than ever.

Bangkok, the capital of Thailand is one example of disneyization taking place in Thailand. Hotel, shopping malls, restaurants are built in order accommodate to the needs of the tourists visiting the country. Thailand as a strong and rich culture country is able to attract tourist experience about the culture of the country. However, tourist would not stay long or even revisit the place as they are feeling uneasy when nothing could satisfy their needs. By having shopping malls, restaurants and hotels, tourists would stay in the county for a longer stay and enjoy the rest of the facilities that cater to their needs. The government also introduces English as the second language to be taught in schools. This can be taken note that they wanted the locals and service providers to be able to communicate with the tourists easily so as to create a pleasant impression of the locals and the country. Therefore, I believe that disneyization is taking place in Thailand and it will change Thailand into a much more westernised country with more buildings and entertainments built.
